Cafer Paşa Mosque
The historical mosque, located in the central Seyhan district Ulucami Neighborhood, is single storey and has a height of 5 meters. The minaret of the mosque is 21 meters high.
The historical Cafer Pasha Mosque was built in 1648 by the Governor of the time, Cafer Pasha, but was destroyed in 1950s due to road works. The mosque was built in accordance with its original with the reconstruction (reconstruction in accordance with its original) work, which was implemented for the first time in Adana by philanthropist Hacı Mustafa Kıvanç and his children.
The mosque, which was reopened for worship on 31.07.2019, was reunited with the community, 371 years after its construction and 69 years after its demolition.
